This is a simple way to make 3d shapes in photoshop. I made some shapes as an example. You can do differently if you like. It only takes 4 simple step to do. There will be also pictures!
1-Open a new file, around 300 x 250pixels, with any background color.
2-Go To FILTER > RENDER > 3D TRANSFORM
3-Click on either the Cube, Sphere or Cylinder tool and make your shapes. Here is mine:
4-Click on the Trackball tool and rotate your shapes. Here are my results:
