SmileyHouse is an MMORPG made in Multimedia Fusion with a server made in Jamagic. It was launched in 2002 and was actively developed until at least the end of 2004, with many still playing until around 2005. Before the servers were brought back for the Reunion the last time I had logged in was March 2010, so the Reunion proved a huge nostalgia-fest.
The first thing most players saw was an e-mail from the game's author Robin Gersabeck (Code6/LittleWashu) who e-mailed everyone: This is Code6226 (aka. LittleWashu). It’s been about 15 years since the multiplayer online RPG SmileyHouse was active, and I’ve been feeling nostalgic, and getting emails over the years from players who also miss the game. That's why I’m putting the server back online for a reunion on September 22nd, 2019! I’ve already contacted some of the old players, who will be there! I hope you can join us! I found the old user data, so your inventory / skills / EXP should be just like it was! I played around briefly in the game for the first time in years, and I barely remember half of what’s in there. Needless to say, past me managed to crack current me up: I was trying out mining again, my inventory was full, so the mineral I mined “fell on my foot” and I lost HP. Then I went to pick it up, and was told that since my inventory was full, I 'stomped this item into the ground' instead - and gone it was! It certainly was a unique game.
And now for the photo album....
