I have recently discovered what the secret is behind getting a lot of people do download your games. It's all behind the title. Do people not realise that when they call a game something like 'Soccer', they are going to get few hits.

It's all in the originality of the title. People browsing the site are much more likely to download a game with an unusual title that one with an unispired title.

I make sure i consider this with all my games and my games with wacky titles like 'ShaveCraig' have done better than my game called 'AirHockey demo'.

Obviously, you can't rely on the name entirely, but it helps greatly.

I may be contradicting the start of my article but the title of the game does not have to be original. If it's a genre that people like (i have discovered that soccer is popular) then the title does not really matter. Calling something with football/ soccer in the title will probably get (and has got) more hits than something very original like Mrs. Pineappleface's odd adventure in pooland while shaving Craig.
