This had just been bugging me for a while, so I thought I would let it out and see what you all think about it.
Ill try keep this short, as to not piss you off.
Does anyone else here think we are setting the standards to high? I mean, all these games, that we are making for free, get that, no charge, and we are still complaining about how they are not as good as Eternal Daughter. What is this? These games are provided for free, by devoted klikkers, and we still find the time to diss the game, or say how crap it is.
A good example is that with the Adventures of Mark Basehore 2 demo which recently came out. I dont know what everyone else was expecting, but I really didnt care how good or bad it was, after all it was free!
What I am trying to say is, why compare un hyped, lower profile games to games which obviously had a lot more time put into them. Take them for what they are, give constructive criticism, give praise where needed, but why just say that isnt as good as ED, or those graphics are shite, the developer has put hours of his time (well usually) into making the game, so enjoy it for what it is, and tell him he or she could have done better, but after all, the game is free.
If that didnt make any sense, dont worry, just ignore my sensless ramblings, but hopefully you got something out of this.
