Well, this is my first article, so here we go. This happens a lot to me, and I have found ways to find inspiration to create game. Here are some things you can do to find inspiration.
Games Never Made: Sometimes I try to find some thing that has never been made into a game so it can be original. Or, find something that no one would think of making a game out of. Like, lets say a garbage man, you could make a game about going through neighborhoods and collecting the garbage in your truck and have other it revolve around his life. You may think "wow, this guy is stupid, no one would want to play a game like that", well look at Harvest Moon for SNES, its a game about farming but is a great because it revolves around a farmers life, not just farming. Most people will want to play a game that is original and that has never been made before than play some copy of another game.
Change of Scenery: Go out there and take a walk or something that sort. When your in a different enviroment, you think differently about things and could come up with some good games.
Taking a good Break: Sometimes you just have no other option but to take a good long break from kliking. Like, perhaps about a month will do. You take it for granted until you stop for a while and then you have more of an urge to make a good game. Take a break from the computer in general, then you will really have the urge to klik.
