I despise WinXP. Every time I'm just about to post a long message, the goddamn thing just hangs. Oh well... time for another retype.
As some of you may have noticed, I've been posting a lotta stuff about looking for graphics artists for some secret project I'm not mentioning in public and stuff. So many people offered help, yet only two people replied with an 'OK, I'll get started', and only one of those two actually sent me a sprite...
Now that I have my lead artist, istvan, I've already got a sample of what I need. No more vague descriptions for art that's 'not crappy', though the 'anti-aliasable' part may still be necessary. So here be the decided graphics style... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v64/istvan/final.png . Main character's that pretty lady in the middle.
All I need now are some artists who are willing to help out me and istvan with this project. Background artists, sprite artist, title screen artists, cutscene artists... whatever you want to contribute, feel free to contribute.
If you want to join... keep the following in mind...
- Your art style must look ok with the style as shown above (scale, resolution, style, etc)
- You don't tend to piss people off (bad for morale )
- You work OK in a team. No need to be a slave, but strangely enough, I've had enough people applying who don't like teamwork. Teamwork rulez.
- No work will be forced. Just help with whatever you feel like helping with
Sorry for those who I didn't contact before. It's just that I've spent at least 5 mins (per person) sending messages to over half a dozen people and only 2 bother to reply. And that's not including all the times WinXP crashes in between . I'll contact those who are (sincerely) interested here and hand you guys a nice online pamphlet .
And don't worry about the game being vaporware or anything. I wouldn't bother doing more than two recruitment runs for a game I don't have much faith/enthusiasm in.

Oh, right. Forgot to mention the background I need. Basically, the first level's takes place on the path between some scaffolding and a 'modern' elven village. So, I need mainly platforms, trees, large walkable branches, etc...
Nah, I don't mind Photoshop. I used to do some pretty neat things with it, and I could probably modify any background scenes made with them. Just don't make them look too computer generated...
