Today we mourn the passing of the "Game Maker alt to Games Factory" thread, which was destined to become the largest thread ever. It was unfortunately (yet inevitably) taken from us before the dream could become a reality. It was a kind thread, loved by all and held in the highest regard by its peers, and will be sorely missed. I think we should try and locate the DC thread with the most posts in it. Game Maker alt to Games Factory would have wanted it that way.
Uh, yeah. Anyone know what the biggest thread is? Linkage?

It was a good thread to post shite in, to prevent people doing it in good threads, it shouldn't have been locked. I'm surprised Circy did it, I was sure Pete Nattress would've done it.
I thought myself that if people concentrated their spam in to that one area there would be less on the rest of the boards. But it was reaching critical mass and may have collapsed in on itself and formed a black hole if it went on any longer.
It was kinda asking to be locked, but it was fun to post in while it lasted. Maybe there should be a huge "any topic" thread for people to post in and reduce the crap in other threads.
I don't think that'd happen any more than it does now. It'd be a pretty good idea, have something where people can unload their shite, and maybe didn't add to your post count.
