Well, I spent ages on this, and it came out great!
With many hacks, I managed to get Orbital (Terminal Orbit's level editor) to render the map terrain to the minimap!

And not only that, but it shows it in a subapp! No bmp files, active pictures or mini active objects involved, it's dynamically rendered.
You can also resize the minimap to any damn size you want:

Very handy for an overview of the level. The main game shows terrain on the minimap too.
The magic? A new extension I'm working on... this is why I like the combination of MMF and C++ so much. If you come across something MMF can't do, do it in C++.
now thats awesome, is it possible to have the extension be non-sub app and just appear in the window its placed, so you can kinda have it like the Minimap is in games like AOE and Warcraft, where the Minimap is in the bottom right corner, and not in a seperate window? thatd be cool to add to the extension.
BTW: TO is looking better and better everytime i see it (i still think you should get Kisguri to redo those unit graphics thou8gh ) Keep up the great work!
