I made a game with my mate for a joke a little while ago, and I was considering uploading it so it could be downloaded from DC, But i'm worried that if i do some might view it as racist, and i might insult someone.
I'll give you a brief summary of the plot:
You are a Rastafarian from jamaica, but whilst you were away, and evil witchdoctor/cyclops/thingy cast a curse on the land of jamaica, turning all it's inhabitants into mindless heart eatin' rastas. You must confront this witchdoctor/cyclops/thingy, but before you do you must gain magical powers by smoking 100 magical spliffs, which give you the ability to shoot lasers and fly. Whilst collecting the spliffs you must avoid touching the possesed rastas or they will kill you.
I'm sure a lot of you would find this game very enjoyable to play, but I do not want to insult anyone. Can you all tell me your opinions on whether this is suitable?

Go for it. We had a similar discussion a while ago about a game with a rocket nigger or something, I think the concensus was that anyone who complains is a pussy so you get to punch them.
I think JP is from Hawaii, which isn't Jamaica per se but I always used to get the two confused as a child. So, what I'm saying is, if JP is me as a child living in Hawaii he may be offended because he would think he was living in Jamaica. So I'd play it safe.
Well, I dont approve the harsh way you guys put things.
However submit the game and simply make it clear in the text what the game is about so people know what they are downloading. Personally Im not easy to offend so dont worry about me.
Why would anyone be offended? Rastas are cool, I'd love to be a rasta. Plus Rastafarian isn't really a race, the original Rastafarianism movement was religion based, but it's gone way past that now, it pretty much connotes regular dreadlocked stoner dudes now. Like Christianity, nobody properly follows that anymore.
How did you confuse those two Teapot? One is a collection of islands to the west of the US, and the other is one island to the south east of the US. That's like me confusing New Zealand with Australia, or greenland.
If there was anything that only caucasians could win, everyone would complain; where as if it were any other race, it would be completely fine, which is absolute BS if you ask me. Everyone screams for "equality", which just doesn't exist anymore. Like if a black comedian makes fun a white ppl, it's funny; where if a white comedian makes a joke about black ppl, it's racist. Such a truly F-ed up society we live in today.
