I am currently looking for people who are serious about working on a big project together, I have started working on a demo of what the game will look like, see the screenshots. But being realistic, for such huge game, a team is needed. This is right now for unpaid positions but if something came out of it, a company would want to publish it, then we would go from there as far as costs go. I am currently looking for people who are confortable "programming" on MMF and other languages if possible in case of needs for extention. I did all the artwork, a friend created the character. Go to my website and watch the demoreel to see the game in action, here are some screenshots.
If you want to be part of this project, email me at newt@madebynewt.com
If you have any past experience work on MMF let me know as well. Again this is a serious project, so be serious about it. I work for an animation studio and do graphics like this for a living, so the game will look great but i'll definetly need help with the coding and if you are experienced, graphics as well
Wow, nice job Newt, pure quality stuff, all I can simply say is good job.
..Eh, i guess not, i also can say, please make a good battle system for this RPG, and remember, RPGs always have a really awesome looking character, AT LEAST one,
Looks great, not sure if this is the JPG quality or anything, but if I'm not seeing things, I'm seeing alot of anti-aliasing going on there. How did you manage to escape MMF's extreme disliking in anti-aliasing without leaving the battle field with an extremely laggy game?
Even with the Alpha-Channel object, MMF still hates anti-aliasing.
That is in game screenshots, if you guys wanna see the game on the run, go on my website (www.madebynewt.com) and watch my demoreel, there are a few scenes showing the character running around the Island. I really need someone who can do the battle engine and iventory systerm for it, I just need some help becuase it's too much for 1 person.
i've seen the reel, and i must say, it's pretty impressive
as for the 3d, i can think of a few ways that you did it and active rendering isn't one of them i'm thinking, the most efficient way of having done what it seems like you did was to probably place a large background image, and just place active objects lining out the area limits, and teleport pads to go from place to place
but it really looks beautiful, i'll tell you that. sorry i can't help out though, i know how to code the system trying to create, but to make a good system, it would take a while, and i have my own work to deal with, i may help out once i'm finished though (if you can wait long enough taht is )
It's on my original post, "I am currently looking for people who are confortable "programming" on MMF and other languages if possible in case of needs for extention."
