Actually by theory, if anything eletronical was to go into water & it was completly shut off, then if every last drop of water was dried up before it was turned back on, it should still work, because the system cant short out unless it takes a shortcut through the water, being it conducts the eletrecity, but if the entire system is wet & none of the wires have a live current, then when the water dries up, when its turned on, the current should travel through the system like nothing ever happened. Yeah, fresh water's not so bad if there's no current but brine would corrode it horribly.
