I recently purchased a Sony PSP a few days ago. I stupidly upgraded to 2.6 from 1.5 wich means the Sony PSP now WILL NOT run homebrew or commercial games. ( I JUST found a GBA emu for it too )
Onto the point...
After upgrading, I found that it now has an internet browser built in now. The good part is that I could now be in another room Downloading games from TDC while I am by the pool or at school! (The only thing we would need now is firmware to let you play MMF files)
Everything on TDC works with the PSP except you cannot log in. If you possably could log in, you would be able to poast comments and stuff!
Yup... That IS my hand
There are 2 ways to wiew a page on the PSP. Normal or Fitted
This is normal
This is fitted. Notice the sidebar at the right. It resizes everything.
*I am truely sorry for the crapyness of the pictures and will fix them if desired.*
The future is FINNALLY here! TDC in the palm of your hand!
Thats really something else. I could have told you in 2001 that the internet on such a small device is not good. Even on my Pocket PC with its touch-screen input is just a sad way to go online, you have to be sadder still to be out and about outside a coffee shop checking TDC.
Searching the internet on smaller & smaller devices will improve when the resolution of the screens get higher, because a small screen can still look crystal clear if the resolution is nice & high.
I can login to TDC on my PSP.
I think if somebody made homebrew which allowed you to play MMF games - then that'd be awesome. I think that the biggest shot we'd have at that is using Vitalize somehow with the web browser or something - but obviously Vitalize isn't compatable with the PSP. I doubt very much somebody will come up with a way of playing MMF games on PSP also
What's the PSP's browser, Opra or something like that? The problem would mainly be with not having things like directdraw.

GRPS/WAP costs too much for me, given its uselessness. Mobile internet is awful in general, but on the PSP it looks more bearable. Maybe one day it'll be practical, but at the moment, I prefer my 17" TFT screen, keyboard and mouse.
An MMF firmware would be the best thing that could ever happen to the PSP. sadly it probably won't.
If you want to play homebrew and sits with a newer PSP you can degrade your machine. Not sure if it works with 2.6 though. My friend had a PSP with 2.0 and upgraded to 2.5 just so that he would be able to degrade it to 1.5.

a wap version for my site is coming soon too
oh, and the login problem is not cause of your psp, TDC is having problems with logging in since it started using the backup server
You kow what? I have the same problem. I upgraded to 2.5 but need to get to 1.0 so i can emulate on it. WORSTE MISTAKE I MADE EXCEPT PUTTING MILK NEXT TO THE FURNACE.
