I have created a nice new demo for a game I'm making called "Fred the Fighter". It's a fighting/maze game. There's no music yet though. features:
current features:
-NES-style graphics and sound
-Semi-custom engine
-different attacks
-some attacks need special powerups
-some enemies
-map
full features, yet to come:
-intro/story
-music
-more enemies
-more powarups
-more stuff!

Either you're using the default movement, or you screwed up your custom one. I would fix it before you go further.

Yeah, I admit it was a bit too short. But info to people who want to make games with a map:
Globalizing the data store object 2 corrupts your game file if you try to copy and paste a level. every time I opened it, it was all "NOt enough memory" and I'm like "WTF? 1gb is enough you fat cheese" so I open it up before the compy crashes and quickly destroy the data store object 2 from my game. The result: the map is always revealed. Not too bad. So I got all impatient and posted what I have.
I'll probably change the engine soon for the movement. But seriously, I didn't expect "LOL hotnesz!!1!!11!@ This GaM r so kyoolsrzesirsi!!!!1 eye hopes 4 teh rest of game1111!" Or even a more sane response of "Nice game, I hope you finish it soon."
But I did atleast expect maybe "nice NESgfx" or even "it's okish"
but I'm not mooching for approval so feel free to not really care.
But atleast no one bashed it with a nuke and bazooka. (waits for someone to punch meself)
but this is getting too long right now...
