I'd like to make a mmorpg. It's basicaly an exact replica of ragnarok online, except it will be made in MMF .
Basicaly i'd need gfx artists, no more than two, i don't want this to get too complicated for me to command. The artist would simply take care of drawing ragnarok's art (shouldn't be too hard, after all it's just drawing stuff that's already done)
And for the code part, i need 3 MMF Coders. One will be in charge of the online part, and the other two will do the rest, wich includes gameplay and battle engines.
I will be in charge of doing all the game production, wich means you'll just have to follow my orders, so it's not a complete chaos. This is the most important task (imo), meaning the game will basicaly be mine for selling. But the helping members get to play the game for free for life, or until i make an update.

you can't just make a part of the game and then make it work online. Programming the online part also means programming the other parts because they will be online as well.
Another thing is copyright. It's that little thing that means you can't make replicas of other peoples' work without getting the explicit permission to do so.
Also, Ragnarok's scenery is in true 3D, only the characters are sprites. I'd like to see you implement true 3D in MMF
i'm not trying to put you down or anything, i was actually trying to give you advice. And with you being the maker of the game it would really be your loss as game makers' goal is to make as many people as possible play your game

You want to be the 'leader' of an exact ripoff of Ragnarok Online. You want coders to code this game for you and you want graphical artist to draw this game for you, while you'll be sitting there and "guide" them. Then you wanna sell it for "large" amounts of money which you won't share with the rest of your slaves you have hired.

Dogzer, you do realize that ragnarok is a copyrighted game. You could only sell it with permission from the company who made it, and that would not happen because you're making a game that was already made. No person, in their right mind, will buy a game that was already made by a proffesional company from a group of amateur gamemakers. If you were to sell the game without permission, which is how you intended, you would have a massive lawsuit burning your ass for the rest of your sorry life. I'm sure everyone here, would be glad to help if you actually had an idea for your game. How creative is recreating a game that was already made, and then sell it? The concept of making and mmorpg is good, but form an idea around that, and not someone else's idea. As a "leader," you should be forming a story and concept, and ask those that have the talent to help you form imagery and function around that idea. First of all, it takes no talent to rip graphics from a game. Even YOU could do that yourself... I hope. Second, I'm sure everyone agrees that nobody wants to help you because you're an unrealistic, immature boob that even in asking for help drives people away. @peblo - i thought you had tgf...why would you make the movement in KnP? and there are ways to do scrolling in KnP. its just a lot of extra coding.

Did you know Ragnarok online is patented? if they caught you using thier idea, they can sue you. They tried to sue someone that made a server emulator before that allowed people to connect to unofficial server because they believe it violated copyrights. Gotta be careful with that

Oh yeah, dogzer i whipped a 3d battle engine up real quick. It's about on par with quake 3, sorry I couldn't do better. I hope it will work for your game? Also I only have tgf so porting it to mmf might be a little tricky, but it should be ok.

I've coded my own Ragnarok engine in OpenGL Klik thing. It's reeeally good it supports great greaphics and looks good. the only problem is having more than 2 sprites in the same place at the same time. I don't think that will be a problem for this project though.
