Hmm... a little idea just popped up in my head today. It seems like a lot of people want to make a game, but are missing something... coding, art, don't know where to start, don't know how to end. So, I propose that we just state that game we've always wanted to do, but don't expect to and why, and we just see if anyone has any solutions to that.
OK.. I'll start:
1. A creepy, gruesome horror game that'd be banned from several websites. Why? Because I want to. Something with 3D sound, where monsters would jab a hook into your character's face and slam him against the wall.. where mutilated zombies would bite and infect you... something so disgusting and unnerving that it'd make an innocent person literally throw up.
Can't get it done because I don't have the graphical skills for it, nor do I have klik ragdoll physics technology (optional). I also have no experience doing 3D sound, but that I can learn. Oh, and I can't think of a storyline for it.
2. A post-apocalyptic UFO Aftermath style game where you play as a squad of terrorists, elite counter-terrorists, or the alien group. Already have a damn nice storyline for the game, something about environmentalist aliens trying to prevent the destruction of the earth by destroying the world's nuclear powers, by sending Zerg-style creature-weapons. You pick a small squad, then you're set on the main map, RTS style, where you gather resources from buildings/junkyards, build turrets, weapons, shacks, and have some objective like stealing research data or weapons, or destroying/killing some group/buildings.
Anyway, the game is quite simple to code, actually finished the weapon & squad distribution/file storage engine already. Main problem is AI, level design, and graphics for me. I intended to make the graphics as blips on a radar, but it still didn't solve the problem with doing AI. And blips are ugly .
Disclaimer: Any sarcasm in my posts will not be mentioned as that would ruin the purpose. It is assumed that the reader is intelligent enough to tell the difference between what is sarcasm and what is not.
Im making a ghost game as a tiny side project. Its kinda horror I suppose but more haunted-house orientated It probably wont be completed however, as my main project is far more important
I plan on making 2 more games after Necropolis Rising is done. The 3rd Equin game which I fully intend to try and outdo myself in every way I've made games before (unlikely, but I want to make it the best possible), and believe it or not a warehouse RPG. This will include forklift battles and / or races. I've worked in them long enough to make a REAL convincing one and it sure is original lol.

DXF Games, coming next: Hasslevania 2- This Space for Rent!
The Core, which has been coming along nicely in the past few days graphically.
Started on a an NES like Hockey game last night (While I was getting pissed off while doing animations for The Core), so far the puck works quite well; I'm tackling Skater AI as we speak (It's a derivative of my old Turn Based Strat AI, for those of you who know what I'm talking about); if I choose to finish it up, it will probably make next week's GOTW. Think old school blades of steel, except vertically oriented; and you won't be too far off.
Still got that choplifter engine lying around; won't take me long to turn the engine into a full game, just waiting for the bug to bite me.
CBB Rush is lying around waiting for some form of online highscore to be implimented, once that's finished, it's done save for possibly making the GUI a little shinier.

Yeah, lots of stuff to mess around with.
1)My biggest dream is to make a really violent Castlevania clone, which is why i have about 6 unfinished versions of my Ghastlevania games I can easily make it myself, though if I do the graphics they will suck (i'm a programmer, not a graphics person)...
2) I also want to make a dungeon crawler game for Pocket PC (there aren't any good dungeon crawler games for that). Like Ghastlevania i want it to have dark graphics and scary monsters..but doesn't everybody ?
For the moment I am working at a small, simple game called "Nim" which I probably finish in some weeks and a quite big RPG which probably not will be finished this year, if ever
