I'm working on a turn-based, story-driven strategy game using MMF2 based on the Three Kingdoms era of ancient China. (Big surprise.) Graphics aren't really my strong point - I'm a programming, music, and storytelling kind of guy. But I'd really like a talented spriter to churn out a ton of graphics. I have character portraits under control, but there's plenty more to be done.
Yeah, it's going to be a lot of work. I need tile graphics for the battlefields. I need four-directional unit graphics - standing, walking, attacking, etc. Each "unit graphic" will really only consist of one soldier. I will provide concept art and will also recolor the unit graphics myself once all of the base ones are done (there are six army colors). I'm going for a very Asian-influenced look. The game will be played on 32x32 grid squares, so that's the size you should shoot for with graphics.
This is a very ambitious project. This screenshot, just a rough representation of a very incomplete idea, should still serve to give you a taste of what I'm going for:
Actually, those graphics are good. You could probably do some great-looking soldiers yourself Bo Fu. I don't know if you're going to get anyone who could do much better than that. Unless you mean it's hard for you to do the animations themselves- that's always been the hardest part for me, especially taking a front view and trying to make a side view that's believable with all the heights of different body parts and stuff.

the anatomy is correct, but the shadings just a bit off. other than that its really nice
Those are just temporary placeholder sprites, without any animation. I can't really claim any credit for the horse - it's from a public sprite library. I'd really like to replace everything with original graphics. The field graphics are all original (they parallax, too), but the horse sprites aren't. Basically, I'm looking for someone to change that.
Thanks for the compliments though, guys.

I'm good at doing large, Photoshoppable, non-animated graphics. Well, I used to be good, but haven't done any in years, so I'm a bit rusty. However, I suck when it comes to perspective, and my creative art skills are a bit off. My skill is mostly in textures and MMF lighting.
But I'm a bit short of time, so don't expect too much. I have my final semester in university, a whole load of forms to fill in the next few months, a whole lot of tests to study for in the next few weeks.
No monetary reward needed, I just like historical games. Still, it would be nice to have my name in the credits and being able to use the engine for one of my games. I'm thinking about making a strategy game myself, but I hate coding the base engine for strategy games, so this could save me a lot of time .
Disclaimer: Any sarcasm in my posts will not be mentioned as that would ruin the purpose. It is assumed that the reader is intelligent enough to tell the difference between what is sarcasm and what is not.
I dunno Bo Fu, I'd rather have a game that was very good looking and 100% made by me graphics-wise than an excellent looking game that had someone else do the graphics. It's way more satisfying to do it all yourself if you can.
I mean, you can most likely make some sweet-looking HUD display yourself. With some time, it's not all that hard and you can say you did it all bro!

I am doing the sprites and the HUD myself. It's the tileset that I'm looking for help on. This game was never meant to be a solo project - it's massively long and deep.
