I don't particularly like what France stands for; its bureaucracy, its right-wing tendencies, its language, or its massively subsidised farmers (which put UK farmer out of business). But that's not to say all French people are bad, just they live in a bad place.
It was on the news lately that the French are proud for being "healthy people" yet recently it was discovered their obesity percentage is larger than that of the UK
So do some areas of Greece I remember I was peeing in a taverna toilet when I was little and a woman walked by to get to the female toilets You also had to poo in a hole-type contraption ( Which I didn't do of course -_-)
I like France. One of my dads old colleagues has some little castle down there, was cheap but needed renovating. asked for a little site for it and said I could stay down there for a month rather than being paid. absolutely beautiful, the language, the people, the attitudes of individuals is much more relaxed than England. Paris was different but the countryside is just easy living.
