I dont think it was about telling there was another timeload, I thought the timeloads arnt telepathically linked, it was all about the watch getting opened, and the energy release, thats how the Family of blood found him.

but in Human Nature and the Family of Blood, he used the Camelean Arch to Change into a human,
The Timelords essents were stored in a pocket watch with timelord writting on it,
the Same watch was held by the Master, so.. when the watch was opened, the essense escaping back into the human, and turning them back to a timelord was felt by the other one. er.. or something

The Doctor can sense another Timelord - but the Master wasn't a Timelord, he was a human.
That's why when he opens the watch, the camera switches to the Doctor and he looks shocked and scared, or whatever - as he can then sense another Timelord.
It was just explained in today's episode why he couldn't notice him as a Timelord in the other episodes.
Something to do with the Archangel or something..
I thought parts of it were a bit convenient and contrived, but overall a damn good episode. Barring that song near the end, but the moments after it oooh it's all so good. Shame that the next episode will be the last one till xmas. SOBS.
Im not sure how come bits wer convenient, I only thought that Jacks Time Band, suddenly could transport in the same time zone, after the doctor fixed it,
everthing else, was placed by the master ready to take control of the world.

If the acting was great, the budget was higher and the corsa blew up when being riddled with bullets - it just wouldn't be Doctor Who, and it would suck.
Golem Doctor, the way in which he was brought back, "reversing time", badly broken Tardis, Titanic physically breaking Tardis (Isn't that "impossible"?), Laser Screwdriver only to be used by the Master, byebye Martha.
Much prefer the previous episode. Much better than Doomsday, mind.
I was kind of confused what happened with Martha at the end too - I watched the Doctor Who Confidential thing afterwards and it said she wasn't gone forever and that she'd be coming back. But by that I'd assume she isn't coming back straight away - don't really understand that.
Kind of dissapointed that they "killed off" The Master. Although, anybody see the woman (which I assume was his wife as she had the same nail colours) picking up the ring by the Master's burning body? Not sure whether that will develop into anything
The episode didn't really make a lot of sense to me - just seemed like a load of random stuff thrown together at the last minute. But agree, it was better than Doomsday.
I liked that bit! Just been flicking through episodes with the Face of Boe in them and it all makes sense. Cat woman teleporting, him sponsoring the event to watch the end of the world, both "immortal". Great little tie up.
Double post... but I was gonna say, I think perhaps... just maybe... Mrs. Saxon was The Rani with a chameleon arch activated. Possible possible? hmm hmm?
But if Mrs.Saxon was The Rani, then the Doctor would have known the moment he saw her.
Unless she was made human and has one of those damned fob watches too. Who knows..
I assume its a girl with red boots in the colin baker days,,,
but Matha is gonna be in torchwood,
shame about the master, but I heard once,(think in the 1996 movie) tha timelords only have 13 lives, so as tennent is the 10th they cant go on too mush longer, but with the master saying he didnt want to regen, it hints at maybe the timelords choose when to die, and maybe even had 13 lives as a timelord limit, basically i rekkon this opens up the doctor to regen for ever..er.. or something,
and fancy that the face of boe, who'd have thunk it, all in all, I enjoyed the last one, up until the doctor used everyones psychic energy to return his youth, that was pants, but the rest was kool, I quite liked the idea that the master had kept him in a tent with a dog dish for a year, lol

The Rani is a female timelord - think she appeared once in the old classic episodes. I doubt that Mrs Saxon is her though - as is appeared as though The Master beat her up in one scene (she seems to have a bruise on her face or something? - I doubt Rani would let Master punch her about anyway). Unless of course she was too turned human and so brainwashed .etc.
Time lords do have 13 lives - and they die when they use them all up. The only reason The Master got more is because he was resurrected for the time war (because he was their "greatest warrior" or something). Considering there are no more time lords left, there would be nobody there to resurrect the doctor if he were to die. So either they'll end the whole show on his last life, or find a way to continue his regenerations (which they can do - afterall if he can get super powers just because people say his name, he can do anything!).
I had no idea time lords could resurrect though. If so, then the Doctor could probably resurrect The Master (if he is actually dead) - unless only special time lords could resurrect or something. The fact that you here John Simm laughing when Mrs Saxon picks up his ring leads me to believe the Master isn't gone for good, but who knows.
Anyway - Martha is going to be in Torchwood, then she is going to come back half way through season 4. And The Doctor finds a new assistant before that, so he will have 2 assistants.. Which will probably piss off Martha quite a bit lol
That Film was quality, I think Ive got it VHS, I might just have to dig it out, to fill the saturday night Void,
is there any americans on this sight, I found it funny the other week, when the US-Prez, took over from Saxon with UNIT and then Saxon had him killed on live Worldwide TV, Damm us English, done it again..
also, as Doctor who is filmed in Wales, do you think that the welsh are getting there own back in TV, back in 2005 in the aliens on london, the slithy dudes, killed off all the high ranking members of parliment, and the top Bods in UNIT lol, and then in the sound of drums the Master Gased em all, lol and then killed the Us Prez, Geez,
anyway, was Harriot Jones, played by the OXO mum, or have I got her mixed up with someone else ?

The Doctor Who movie was terrible I thought - the guy who played the doctor was good I thought, but they too much of the movie was about the doctor not knowing who he was, then explaining to some random girl that he was an alien - then she didn't believe him so he kept explaining.
Then the master got sucked into the eye of the Tardis.. which is stupid.
I wouldn't bet on the series ending when he's used up 13 regenerations. Doctor Who is something that's going to be kept running in one way or another by the BBC till the end of time. Longest running sci-fi and all that, it's an institution! of sorts.
I certainly hope so Mr.James - I honestly think that it's the best thing on telly at the moment.
That Jekyll thing is pretty good too. Is there actually anything else on TV worth watching anymore? I remember as a kid watching all kinds of things on Saturday's like Noel Edmond's House Party and stuff
I rekkon that all the writers of Doctor who since 2005 should come together and be lead by russel Davis to write a new movie,
and it should be Paul MacGan(?) as the doctor getting recalled to Gallifrey to prepare for the last great time war, loads of Dalek Action, and the doctor having to become what he hates to protect his people..A Soldier in an army, then in the end as we know from the current shows, big ol'Dalek plot or maybe a timelord one that backfires, and kills all of them, with only the doctor managing to use the Tardis in someway to protect himself, just at the last minute (so he doesnt run away from the war, like the bads guys hint at) only not fully as he left with a regeneration, into Eccleston, and then he alone has to then travel on through time and space, after all when we met the doctor in 2005, he was a broken man, a lone traveler leading up to the episode Rose.
