My reason for bringing this up again lies with the remaining fact of which we are all aware of:
We need more/other admins - You know, actual ones, that actually use their administrative privelidges and haven't tired of this place, yet. More admins like, for example, Flava.
Flava has been the only admin actually (noticeably) doing anything here lately. It shouldn't all be left to Rikus to sort out anything here, that's why there are other admins recruited in the first place! Circy shows up now and again, which is good... but other than that, other admins haven't been on here for weeks!? Even if they had, they haven't actually DONE anything apart from having looked at the front page or something...
No offense to Flava at all, but he's being pushed around by certain members, too. We need an experienced, somewhat respected admin around here and with what he says is final. Some people seem to think they can push around everyone here, softening slightly when Rikus eventually gets involved.
One admin can't run a place like this either, it's not really fair to put everything on Flava's shoulders. If anyones.
We should come up with a small list, like say 5-7 max of possible admins listing reasons why they'd be good here.
Should this topic get locked and/or deleted... regardless of the inflammatory comments I'm probably due - well that would be rather sad.

Admins ARE active - they accept or reject submissions, add news posts, manage GOTWs, stuff like that. Flava just seems more active because he's actually coding new stuff, but not everyone can do that.
Look at the front page. Flava, Flava, but then... Rikus, Circy, Rikus, Rikus, Circy...
I don't think the problem is really with the admins - we don't need more admins (in my opinion), but we've been throwing around an idea of introducing moderators, who'd basically moderate the forums and comments. So they wouldn't be able to ban, post news .etc.
Obviously, it depends whether everyone is going to start shouting "OMG but ur alreddy overmoderating lozlolzl" so I don't know what's happening with that idea now. I just think it's a case of us admins not really being used to proper moderation - which is something this site has lacked since it began.
I've presented a plan to the other admins regarding moderation, which includes the idea of introducing moderators, and we'll see were it goes. It obviously depends whether you guys are willing to give it a go, or whether you're all going to start crying and call us trigger happy.
I don't think there should be a difference between Moderators and Admins really. Moderators, Editors and Admins? Why?
It'd be easier and more pratcical to rid of the in-active admins, they wont mind - I'm sure. Since they never visit. I don't need to list who they are, because its obvious. 3 of them have (un)officially left anyways.

Edit: Also, Andi Smith, Pete Natress and Kisguri should be rightfullly demoted now..
Kisguri isn't an actual admin - he just needed the rank to post something in the admin forums.
I believe PeteN left us a while ago, just never got round to changing his rating.
My plan was to reduce the ranks to simply be admin and moderators - so there would be no editor rank. AssaultAndy would obviously be promoted to admin (I don't really know why he isn't an admin anyway..). My personal opinion is that the admin positions isn't a main priority at the moment - the main priority is moderation. That's my personal opinion.
I think there is enough moderation (does it really take that many people?), but not enough features and stuff. There should be a resident reviewer IMO, who goes and reviews as many games as possible, and they are like the official Site Review. Like Wong used to do.
The problem isn't really that we don't have enough admins. Heck, I LOOK for admin-y things to do like downloads to accept (doesn't hurt being the first on TDC to play the next GOTW) or admin alerts, but just can't find them. There's never any games worth putting on the front page, no news about the klik community, nothing. I end up getting kinda disappointed every time I log on, so I just sit at home and play around with MMF now, lol.
As an admin, I demand more active members in the community .
