I missed the two latest competitions, so I wanted to not miss the next
SO! Here's the idea:
You have exactly one week to do something unique/unusual/abstract!
-The game screen size/length/style can be whatever you want, but the idea is to
use your klik skills to make something unusual or abstract! And if you don't trust to
your klik skills, also games that are just beautiful or abstract can enter!
-I'll try to get as much people to join as I can, and the competition begins when I have enough
people joined. After the beginning of the competition you have exactly 1 week (checked by +2 GMT)
to complete your game!
-The sounds/musics are free for your choice, the game be silent if you want
-The games get score like this:
Unique-ness = 20 points (This is how unique the game is. Of course there can't exist a game that would be 100% unique, but you can get max points from some really unusual idea (like barf simulator or anti-chess). Also, you may not get maximum points if your game is unique, but already created by someone else (Like, if you made a game about tarball, it wont get that much points because there's Gish)!)
Graphics = 5 (Nothing strange here)
Gameplay = 5 (Nothing strange here)
Abstract/Strange-ness = 20 points (This is how unusual/strange the game world & graphics are. So, use your imagination freely! But remember, if you make a game with a black dot in the middle of the screen and call it 'abstract', you will have no mercy!)
One competitor will get also a +5 Strange-ness bonus!
the games will be judged by me + someone fom the community.
So join now! Post here if you're interested! I'd really like to see many competitors here!
Question I've already started on mine but should have asked this first: Am I allowed to use my Cake avatar as a character? I made him a few weeks ago...
Actually, I'm thinking...
Remember that you mustn't give high scores to games you like by yourself; you must mercilessly give them what they deserve Of course you can say separately 'I liked this by myself' but that's enough. NO MERCY!!1
As I said in the beginning, there's no matter how the musics sound like, you don't get points from the music quality. The game can be silent if you want. The musics and sounds can add more points to your Abstract-ness or Unique-ness points
Great! Slink, I hope you can do it
You have 8 hours left, but because I have school tomorrow and probably I'm not online at 00:00 (+2 GMT), the game can be posted some hours later also!

Phew, okay then! A one level game would have been stupid.
Unique-ness: 11 -The sketchy style is a bit unique, but the gameplay isn't really.
Graphics: 4 -Really nice graphics! The style is cool!
Gameplay: 4 -The gameplay is pretty good, but the running is pretty annoying so you fall often when trying to run & jump.
Abstract-ness: 10 -This can be seen in different ways. The style is pretty abstract, but after all you collect coins and dodge basic enemies, like spider-things and such.

Cakeington!
by Slink
Unique-ness: 10 -Although the idea of a cake running around and fighting almost naked girls is pretty unique, the gameplay isn't. Also, the graphical style would have been more unusual.
Graphics: 3 -The graphics are well done mostly, but some things (like the red potions) look strange. Also the walls would have been more unusual in the name of the compo.
Gameplay: 4 -the gameplay is pretty nice and doesn't bug at all!
Abstract-ness: 11 -As I said, the idea of a cake fighting almost naked girls ad turning to cups of coffee is pretty abstract and unusual. Also, it's nice to see you don't collect coins!

eye: ADventure in Crpland

Unique-ness: 8 -Guy jumping around and collecting things? Not really unique. In DaVince's game the graphical style saved something, but this time the graphical style isn't nothing really unique, just Strange.
Graphics: 2 -The backgrounds are nice, and the colors in the walls too, but there would have been more work put to the player itself and the collectables. Also, the walls are just blocks.
Gameplay: 3 -Pretty good job, the movement works usually nicely. But because it's the basic platform movement, the player can get stuck from his head and such. The level designing saves us from these bugs.
Abstract-ness: 9 -The graphics are pretty abstract and strange, but there is nothing than just those walls and the backgrounds, there could have been some decorationing. The voice-acted samples sound pretty cool
+ 5 Strange-ness bonus! -This game deserves it, it's really strange. (Actually I had a real problem solving to whom I will give the bonus)

Under the Microscope
by Borgi
unique-ness: 16 -Well this is pretty unique! I have never before felt the passion of multiplying Parameciums that like ice-cream!
Graphics: 3 -Otherwise good, but I didn't have a slightest idea what were those things that destroyed the parameciums! They looked like scissors.
Gameplay: 5 -Really unique and nice gameplay! I enjoyed it a lot!
Abstract-ness: 9 -There's nothing really abstract in the game.

Cool, second place! If I had put a bit more time in this I might have come first, though.
Abstract-ness: 9 -There's nothing really abstract in the game.
If there's nothing really abstract, why is it rated 9/20.
Surely it should be lower if it was not really abstract, instead of 45% abstract. Shouldnt it be about 2 or 3/20 if you say "there's nothing really abstract in the game"?
the whattywhat? Another competition? It's not about prizes anyway. Competitions here are more about giving people a reason to make something Maybe you could Paypal 37 yen to the winner or something.
