I love my PSP simply because I can do anything I want on it. I've actually got two PSPs, one that's modded and hacked to the death and the other which is just boring an normal. Homebrew opens it up a lot for me - not just for emulators but for the games people have made themselves and got running on it, it's sort of like a click community in a way.
The actual retail games haven't been great though - the only ones I've had fun on so far are Killzone Liberation, Grand Theft Auto and Loco Roco. I had fun on Lumines too, but that got boring after a few days. The rest of the retail games suck but to say that the PSP is dead is a lie - especially with new Syphon Filter, God of War, Silent Hill and a new Loco Roco game being made. Plus a new PSP store is being released which will let us download PS network games, plus there is going to be some new TV service coming out. I won't be buying into the TV thing, but I certainly don't think the PSP has been abandoned.
This is a signature. Have this one on me.

Good thing we're talking about handheld horror, or I'd accuse you of derailing the topic.
