I hear it needs to be changed for either HD or stand TVs to get it to display. The screen is just black. He's tried holding the power button in like instructed but to no avail. Anyone got any ideas? In fact, the signal provided by composite connection is well below the resolution of last generation's consoles. Maybe you just got a faulty AV lead? Flava Registered 30/07/2002 Points 684	27th August, 2007 at 15:49:41 - Have you tried it on the HD tv? Are you on the AV channel? What colour is the LED on your PS3? Does your PS3 make any beeping noises? I use the AV cables for mine on my HD television and it works fine - also worked fine on my standard definition television using the AV cables. So it's either a faulty cable, a faulty PS3 or you're not on the correct channel or have the cables plugged incorrectly. Edited by an Administrator. This is a signature. Have this one on me.

When I used the HDMI cable the picture looked pretty much the same on my HDTV. If you're not using AV cables on your SDTV, what are you using? This is a signature. Have this one on me.
