Admin, would it be possible to notify the creator of a thread when you delete their thread and why, especially if it's a serious thread? I think I deserve an explanation as to why my thread about making peace on TDC has been deleted? Perhaps a fight started on it whilst I was asleep? If not, it wasn't some joke or spam-thread, I was actually serious (for once, yes -_-), and I find it kinda sad that a thread about making peace has been deleted.
I posted it under the Daily Click section:
Daily Click
"Want to ask something about the site? Or you have comments good or bad? Post anything site related here."
So yeah, it would be nice to know why it's been deleted, several others agree with me.
I have mailed a couple of you personally about it too, but I think it should perhaps be a rule that the person is told why their thread is deleted (if not common decency)
I'm with Adam on this one, the thread (When I last looked anyway) seemed perfectly legit, sad it was deleted if there was no real reasoning for it. I agree a message should be sent to the topic creator if their thread gets deleted explaining the reason.
Deleting threads without explanation is, as said many times before, very lame. It's actually one of the two reasons I haven't posted anything serious in the last 3 years. Apart from that, there was nothing wrong with that thread. Deleting it was like burning a white flag or something.
Although I'm not exactly in love with Adam, I'd have to agree with him on this one.
My topics and others were deleted without telling why (although the reason wasn't obvious) which I find very annoying.
Of course if someone opens a topic which actually only says "I hate xxx with passion" or a topic about illegal stuff the explanation wouldn't be needed, but it happens many times that the reason is VERY not obvious.
Administrator don't have to notify about deleting thread. I don't think it's lame or rude or something else. Actually all the topics focusing on community members instead of something practical may be annoying for administrator.
Of course they should, if they want a community to work they can't keep playing gods and deleting topics because they personally don't like them, they need to look at if from everyone's point of view.

It's not a matter of rude or lame.
If a topic was deleted it means that the writer has done something wrong. The admins should let him know what was wrong so he won't repeat the same mistake.
