So I've been playing this since it was unlocked on Steam an hour or so ago. It's ruddy brilliant. A little too brilliant. there's nothing more to say, I thought the trailers looked good but the full game is just addictive as hell.
I've been thinking about getting it. It's only like $10 anyway. I've heard that some people have had some slight framerate issues with it though. Could be a Vista problem, maybe?
Ok now this is really good. Just put a good hour and a half into it. Some songs are really well synced! Scooter and Prodigy work brilliantly whereas Enya doesn't. I've had to lower the resolution down too. Fast songs = lower frame rates
To be so bold I can imagine this winning IGF, it's the most addictive thing I've played since Peggle and TF2.
I downloaded the demo and it's pretty fun but honestly the 5 song limit was enough for me to feel like I'd seen everything in the game. It's a fantastic visualiser and it's interesting to see how accurately it analyses your songs, but at its heart it's a colour matching puzzle game. I do agree that it's got very good chances at IGF, because it's stylish and original and therefore very "indie".
I downloaded the demo and it doesn't function correctly. A real shame as this looks like the type of game I'd really enjoy. A red bar appears across the bottom of the screen in certain menus, some buttons don't have any text in them so I no idea what they do, and finally, it crashes when the level is about to start.
Some menu buttons don't work for me too, and if you enter the Steam Community thing in game then it hides the cursor.
For me it's just about the highscores. As soon as they went offline last night I stopped playing till they were back up. Take them out and I wouldn't be that much into it.
