Who watched the new Dr Who tonight? I really enjoyed it actually, Catherine Tate didn't annoy me as much as I thought she would Laughed at some of the funny parts too AND OMG WHAT A TWIST AT THE END!
The first 15 minutes sucked and I thought I'd be dissapointed, but then it was AWESOME!
Want to watch the next one..
Definitely makes up for the Titanic episode and the one before it! Yay!
I only like the end bit. The aliens were terrible. "super nanny"? oh dear.
But the end. Ooooh boy. Before it showed Rose's face you could tell it was going to be someone important.
And that cockney's mums going to get a sonic pen it seems! BTW this episode taught me that proper cockneys talk by missing off the ends of words. Try it now. tro i no.
I liked the fact that it wasn't too serious. Don't forget she didn't actually call herself the super nanny, she called herself Ms Foster. Also I liked the design of the aliens- I just think sometimes the CGI animators on Dr Who make things look too shiney.
It wasn't the CG, it was more the concept. Sure it's a modern issue and stuff but it felt like it was lost between being silly and carrying a moral message (of losing weight quickly through pills). I think last series had the best first episode. Really kicked everything off if you could look past the kids BBC presenter
I liked the concept. Nowadays there are these companies that are ripping people off. I think the writer saw an opening for an evil villain to take advantage of the situation, I wouldn't call it silly. It's no more silly than an entire building being taken to the moon, and then being invaded by aliens with rhinoceros heads and laser guns , or people being turned into pig-slaves
One other thing that bugged me was when "Super Nanny" said a million people will die, and a million of them creatures will be born... Well that just doesn't work out. You get much more than 1 creature per human. RTD doesn't usually let lazy writing like that slip through the net.
