You should try undervolting it.
Undervolting your laptop increases battery life, decreases heat and makes your system last longer without decreasing performance.
Has anyone else done this?

I have a laptop but I don't really use the battery. It only lasts about 4 hours on one charge. Less if it's not idle for 4 hours lol.

I still get 3 hours from my PowerBook when Wifi/BT are turned off. 2.5 hours otherwise. And I've got a second battery hurrah!

I only have like 1 hour on my battery, so I never use it. But undervolting sounds like a good idea.
Oh sweet mary.

Oh yeah I have a macbook, but it lives in my studio so undervolting it wouldn't be a good idea.

Apparently not turning your laptop on does a better job then undervolting. And it's better for the environments.

Don't. You're best off with a MBP for teh power or EEE for teh portability.

It's not a good idea unless you need a really really thin laptop, which you probably don't. There are cheaper slimline models that have better specs and a better price.
EEEs are probably better.
