Zombie movies and games are appealing, but only to the acquired taste. They're cool every once and a while, but the uniqueness and innovation on Zombie movies and games all seem to be as stale as the innovation we've seen on FPS games. You just can't get much more than what we've got.
However, leave it to Valve to innovate both FPS with Portal and Zombie games with Left 4 Dead.
Not particularly interested. I only played a little of the first level of L4D, just seemed like mindless slaughter. For some reason I was led to believe it would be tense, and based on conserving ammo and supplies and such. I wont be picking it up again, unless someone can persuade me otherwise like what am I missing that makes it so great?
I loved Shaun of the Dead, and Planet Terror was awesome. I haven't been really interested in other zombie movies, though, but then I'm not a big fan of horror-type movies to begin with - if they fail to immerse me, the whole movie will be extremely dull, since most of it is tension building and 'creepy' stuff happening. Never really understood scenes that make you jump, either
Zombies are awesome, though, they definitely appeal to me. Or at least, killing them and surviving against them appeals to me No guilt in killing those that are already dead!
Are you playing L4D with friends? That really makes the game, and I say that because a friend of mine didn't like it either, but he was playing a cracked copy with bots only. But yea. It's not much a tense game especially on anything less than expert mode. It's just a co-op comedy shooter (going off the silly dialogue).
Evil Dead 1 & 2! I liked Shaun of the Dead, and I also liked Dawn of The Dead both the new one and I saw most of the older one too. I don't own L4D or play it regularly, but I did spend a whole night playing it with mates, that's good fun.
