Is anyone else annoyed at the crappy coverage of the Olympics on the BBC?
Firstly, they got rid of freeview channel 302 just a couple of months ago, so there's now only one channel of dedicated Olympic coverage, plus the odd hour or two on BBC2 - a complete lack of forward planning.
Now, as if that wasn't bad enough, the schedule is being almost completely filled by Curling. I actually like Curling as a game to play whilst having a few drinks (much like bowling), but it's not even a sport, let alone a spectator sport.
I get that it merits a little extra coverage because it's one of the few events the British Scottish actually enter (and have won in the past) - but the games go on for hours, and because of the stupid group system they're guaranteed to play at least 9 games - and the BBC will show full live coverage of every single one of them. I just really wish they'd show something a little less dull instead. Maybe they should just show it live in Scotland, and give us highlights everywhere else.
What the hell? Who the do you think you are. I was stating and opinion and you're going to come out of no where snapping off line that. There was absolutely no idea for that.

I don't watch the olympics that much either. Like Adam I find curling quite relaxing.
The other things I enjoy is the men's halfpipe in snowboarding (which they didn't show on tv here in Sweden , had to watch it online ) and some parts of the Ice-hockey.

As opposed to overrated tv programmes taking over tv :/
I even found speed skating interesting this year, if only cause it was funny when they all crashed out
I'm not a fan of the olypics as such, though if there's nothing else on i can show an interest. However, for God's sake it only replaces the endless repeats UK tv stations keep churning out over and over again, so it ain't that big a deal - atleast the Olypic coverage, generally, aren't repeated comedies/soaps/cooking/reality tv shows, which i'm tired of seeing repeats of.
And for my opinion of curling, it's a crap sport just like bowls. When i'm old and can hardly move my hips so can't do much, i'll take one of those games up (though it'll almost certainly be bowls so i can get a sun tan at the same time outside, with a cool glass of cider!)
Why not bowls in the summer and curling in the winter?
Like I said before, I actually quite enjoy playing curling (I especially like that there's usually alcohol available nearby), just not watching it (btw: It's on TV again right now).
I was thinking I might give myself a head-start on everyone else, and start playing bowls while I'm still young. That way, by the time I'm old I'll be really amazing, and all the grannies in the nursing home will want me
