Today I was browsing around, reading some articles when a malware link to fake windows (xp) virus scan popped up, which could be easily detected because I am browsing on linux.
Weird, I thought. But now I was trying to follow a link and my browser warned me about something suspicious:
So is TDC hosting malware? Or did something else happend?
Depending on your browser, some malware may work, some may not and some may trigger a warning and some not. Since I tested with firefox and chrome and they both gave different results.
It seems to happen with Chrome quite a bit. I don't see it happening with some browsers. And yeah, it's one of those ads pointed at TDC, so when you go on a page with that ad, it goes crazy. I think it's an ad directed at game sites.
Disclaimer: Any sarcasm in my posts will not be mentioned as that would ruin the purpose. It is assumed that the reader is intelligent enough to tell the difference between what is sarcasm and what is not.
Ads are a lot of how TDC makes the money to host its servers since no one is donating. That said, the ads are out of the way and I have no problem helping out the site. At least the flash ones are tucked away out of sight, out of mind, at the bottom of the website.
