I remember reading about concept for a place on here where people could submit which things they might do for other people (music, graphics, programming etc.). I'm wondering if it's an addition to TDC somebody's working on or..? I'm interested in creating such a web portal you see (which would span across users of all sorts of software from C++ people to game maker, construct and click users) if I get to a point where I feel I have the time (which is to say - not right now ).

I don't think so, but I might be wrong.
If I offered any services I'd charge for them.
HEY, wait a minute, I do remember it being talked about, back when TDC was running low on donations or something (how's it doing now btw?) and people were talking about ways to make money for the site.
That's one of the reasons this game was made:

I could easily create such a site myself, but if I did it wouldn't be an official TDC thing (since I'm just a simple user of TDC) - it would be a site for indie game creators in general.
I just wanted to try and see if there was an actual demand for a site of this kind, so that if I decide I have the time to create the site it wouldn't be a waste of time

If you get enough people to start going there, I'm sure it would be successful. There are posts all over the internet of people asking for this and that for their team. We did discuss the idea in one of those threads long ago in a galaxy far far away. I don't think it's a priority at the moment (or even really on the to-do list, as far as I'm aware), so go for it!
You can check out the current donation situation here: http://create-games.com/donation.asp (Expensive, isn't it?)

great. If I'd be using one.com for hosting though, and not my own server. I don't know if there's a bandwidth limit in the hosting services of said company though, one of the sites I have hosted there now has only had about 3000 visitors in about 4 years so..

I've been thinking of adding some kind of services/jobs section to the site where people can request for artists, coders etc. I'm not sure it'd be used often, but I think it could be extremely useful for those who decide to use it.
Just note that if we decide to do it then it won't be coming anytime soon. We're working on something.. much bigger..
This is a signature. Have this one on me.

Skillset?
Skillshare, Collabo, Teamhub, Gameteam, Indie Exchange as you said... You could come up with a random made up word or compile a list of related words and squish them together.

Those are some good suggestions I kinda like my own somewhat, but to be honest I don't have faith in my own ability to make up good names for stuff, so I'll probably end up usingy one your suggestions
