I don't know if this has been suggested before, but anyway...
Since it's getting towards the end of the year, how about we start some kind of annual awards - to give recognition to the TDC members who have contributed the most to the klik community over the last 12 months.
There could be categories for overall "game of the year", as well as best games in specific genres; plus categories for best coding/graphics/music etc. Also, awards for best article/review/etc. Maybe awards for things like "most helpful kliker", "noob of the year" etc.
And of course a "lifetime achievement" award for Muz and DavidN (no offense guys - I'm not calling you old).
Winners could get a special little oscar statuette tag, and some extra points.
Maybe someone could set up a mini-site (like for the Console Wars comp) where people could vote...

I've been around the whole time too, just in the shadows. I remember working on a game for the 02 xmas competition and I was messing with click products a few years before that.

I can see benefits to this. For one thing, an award ceremony with multiple categories would bring attention to some of the better games on the site that were either largely ignored or just fell shy of winning GOTW, resulting in renewed interest. Perhaps through the ceremony, the admins could start using the "Recommended" and "Highly Recommended" tags again.
On the other hand, Back To The Click already sorta does this in an informal way; it recaps everything interesting that happened during a particular year on the site. (Speaking of which, any plans to update that with the stuff from 2009 and this year?)
Could go either way, methinks. It definitely wouldn't hurt to have one, though.

Nomination would be killer, but it would be a nice year's-end party to complement the compos ending.
Unless we find some way to prevent people from voting fraudulently on an external site (which would probably involve tying in profiles from TDC), we'd probably have to use the general polls or polls in the forum.
Could be something to do in the VIP forum, perhaps.
