Hey guys, long time no see! That is.. if anybody here remembers me at all. Rikus perhaps, at least?

Jesse here, from Fallen Angel Industries, a group you may remember as FAIND. If you do remember, you know the company's been defunct since early 2006, and most members have moved on to their own lives or to personal projects. Beau and I have formed a new company called "a jolly corpse" along with David, whom you may remember as Texmo. We're working on a project entitled "Wyv and Keep," which is a game Beau and I started a version of way back during FA days, but which we never got around to doing. Check it out:

Anyways, this isn't about our new company, so on to the reason I'm posting!

Ever since the company dispersed we've received requests to put up a page where you can find all of your old FAIND favorites, and so I'm happy to say we've finally done it! You can find info, screens, and the downloads themselves for all the FAIND classics at their new home:

http://www.jollycorpse.com/faind/

We'll also be putting up forums, so anyone craving a bit of a nostalgia fix can come on over and start some discussion!

http://www.jollycorpse.com/forums/index.php

Thanks a lot, and while we've moved away from Klik and freeware games, and will soon be trying to make a living doing what we love, Beau and I hope you'll support us in our new company with the same fan fervor you did for FAIND back in 2001 to 2006.

Jesse

Jesse! Of course I remember you. Wow that does bring back memories! I am also super excited to see you, beau and David all together, and I am sure everyone here will support you guys. The trailer for Wyv and Keep looks awesome btw. Please keep us updated! It makes me happy that so many people from the old days are still making games now

Any chance of a re-compile or way to get Super Ken Senshi back online? That game was so awesome, especially online. Man, I missed it. I played some single player but it was so much fun to play with other people. Such a well designed game.

This is fantastic news, welcome back guys

Question though - why didn't you keep the old FAIND name? You could have kick-started a mass revival like, eh, Take That, or Westlife lol

Alonso: Good to see you're still around! I checked out your websites, and thought your demo reel was amazing, there were some shots in there I thought looked incredible and wanted to see the full versions of. Hope you can get them on your site soon! Are you still working on Heart Forth, Alicia?

Rikus: Thanks, we will!

SiLVERFIRE: As for online play in SKS, I believe the game was coded to use the faind.com server, which obviously isn't around anymore. I would have to ask Ben about a re-compile to use our new server, but we're not in contact yet... If there's enough interest I could pursue him.

Andy: Thanks for the compliments! We probably won't be putting up Factor X because, though it was instrumental in getting our name out there way back in 2000 and 2001, really it's not up to our standards anymore. We wanted to put up the best games, and not all of them (because there were a LOT...) Although there may be a few additions still, depending on what people say, and if there are some specifically that people request a lot.

nim: We appreciate the well-wishes! But that's Jesse/Beau/David... Jesse=Riko

Eternal Man: Thank you! We'll be sure to post.

Circy: Thanks! Beau and I considered bringing back the Fallen Angel Industries brand but, honestly, it was 10+ years ago we founded that group, and we're both much different people now, and wanted something of a new image, possibly more just to refresh ourselves, if nothing else. It's been nice to start anew.

Gamester: It was very simple, a bunch of guys in college and high school made games together, but then the guys in college had to get jobs, and the guys in high school had to go to college, and blah blah, it just got to be too much for most of us. But yes, I think nearly all of us are still working on games, in some capacity!

oh epic to see this
i talked to david a while ago and i was asking if there is any hope to get the old faind stuff
so THIS IS JUST AWESOME! i know natomic got a face book page now and i remember how back in the day it was FAIND vs NATOMIC

so many awesome games. i remember how awesome super ken senshi was because still today its the only multiplayer game that runs probably I CAN THINK OF. i havent tried it yet but i believe it connected to some server and i am sure the server will be down nowadays so is there a way to host your own game instead of just play single player?

where are games like Factor X?

and why not release all the old games as abandonware not everyone got to test? like you could also post zerotau's mina of the pirates there which he released.

To be fair, a lot of people did like Factor X, and it was a big enough name to be a part of our klik heritage, so I think it should be included Most game developers evolve their skills over time and everyone gets better.

It brings so many memories back, playing these games. Siege <3. I do remember once Texmo coding a game with (I think) Yaen called Witchblade, or something. It was just an engine test, but do you happen to have these lying around still? I would love to visit them again. As for the films, I would be happy to send you a couple of links to the full versions through PM. Hope everything goes well for you three. Why don't you make a Facebook page so we can follow your steps?

Adam: Yeah, there were a lot of us groups back then! It seems most have disappeared, or moved on, as we did, but Natomic has a facebook page at least! http://www.facebook.com/natomic

M/Circy: We weren't so much interested in creating an abandonware page, or a page that chronicles every release. As far as Factor X, yes it was big, but perhaps is no longer up to par. If there are enough requests from old fans, or new, I may put up additional sections! I'll also consider making a Fallen Angel facebook page, where maybe things like abandonware and older games could feel more at home.

Alonso: Wish granted! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Wyv-and-Keep/108501075856006?v=wall Still small, clearly, so help us out! You can get my private facebook through there, I'd love those links.

Alonso: We do have a facebook page. Just do a search for "Jolly Corpse". We also recently added a Fallen Angel facebook page, but it doesn't have a whole lot of content up yet. For the most direct news on what we're up to, go to our official page http://www.jollycorpse.com

As per Witchblade, I don't know if it exists at all any more. Either David or Gustav would be the ones to have it if its still around.

Woah... FAIND it brings memories... Cause I followed you guys even before I became a member of TDC, gosh those childhood days... It's great to see you again, but I also believe that you could post up rest of games, at least in some archive package (I can even host it) just for others to remind old days and FAIND... The name meant and still means something more than high quality + oldschool + awesome gameplay and it's a bit pitty that you are not trying to continue the tradition with name, but hey, at least you are not shy to say that "Yes, we are FAIND members and now we are BACK" in great style I would say.

Holy hyperspace! I remember Fallen Angel. I used to be so jealous of you guys since you'd never lose a GOTW. I loved your games though, and now that I'm grown up I have nothing but total respect for you guys as professional game developers. Your graphics and particle effects have always been incredible, and they still are.

Looking at your latest project, it's interesting to see you guys shy away from the more action-oriented titles. I'll definitely keep my eyes on this one in the Project section.

Since people seem to want access to all the games, I'll go ahead and put them up slowly here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Fallen-Angel-Industries/110552912352473 at Fallen Angel's new facebook page. I've put up De Milo, which was Fallen Angel's very first game, so have fun checking it out, and like us, so we can get an actual URL and not all that garble up there

I'll try to think of other stuff to include on the facebook page as well, like Fallen Angel history, abandonware that was never released, etc. And I'll get some comments from Beau about De Milo. Should be funny.

Next up: Biohazard!

I've lurked long enough to remember you guys, and I'm really excited to see that you're back into the Click game. I loved Super Ken Senshi, Streambolt, and Factor X.

Whatever became of Factor X 2 anyway? Wasn't it being developed in Blitz at some point?

Kirby: Factor X 2 was planned and in development for a short time by me and Beau, but proved to be too much for MMF (or at least our understandings at the time of how MMF worked), and this was before MMF2 was released. Hamish then started a game in Blitz called War Angels, which was basically unrelated, but was somewhat of his take on an unofficial sequel. I even did a few conceptual pieces, and was beginning to help with the in-game art, before that project was cancelled as well.

Beau and I have a lot of ideas for it, so it's possible you may see something new one day, but for the foreseeable future it's most likely you'll just get an abandonware section for it on FA's facebook page. You can look forward to that, I suppose! ;P

Hi all! Just wanted to give you an update on our goings on!

Work's been going well on Wyv and Keep, and we have a Preview coming out very soon! We're currently in the process of beta testing this demo, and will release it publicly as soon as we think it's ready. It's mostly bug-free already but we want to polish it a bit more. Here's a video to check out!

According to Beau:

Hey all!

We're drawing close to having our public preview out and I wanted to give you all an idea of what to expect in this first playtest of the game. Obviously being a "preview" means that not all of the features of the game will be fully functional, but this will be a solid opportunity to play with the game mechanics and first enter the world of Amazonia with our characters.

This demonstration is a 6 level, 2 template sampler of the game. The levels are unique for the preview, so the full game won't be reusing puzzle elements. They range from pretty easy to quite difficult. The full game actually starts much easier, but ends up much, much more difficult.

- It will include local 2 player co-op, as well as the ability to swap between characters for a single player experience. Online play is planned in the future.
- Music and sound effects will be fully integrated at this time, but probably will be tweaked a bit before the final release, as the sound in particular is new to the game.
- There is the ability to keep personal high-scores and bests within the preview as the scoring system is in place (though, it too may change in final appearance), but there won't be an option to post highscores and compete (yet!).
- The preview contains 5 of the nearly 20 traps and obstacles from the final game. It's a good place to experiment and familiarize yourself with what to expect (though there are sure to be plenty of surprises!)
- Concludes with several unreleased screenshots of the final game, a description of features that are planned and the ability to sign up for more information.

We are also considering giving interested players a pre-order system that would give access to the map-editor as well as frequent build updates. These could include new templates, new traps or even new modes of play! We're expecting to release the demo in the next week or two, so keep an eye out on the page for your chance to test things out!

Head over to http://www.jollycorpse.com to check it out and hit us up, and like us at http://www.facebook.com/wyvandkeep or follow us at http://www.twitter.com/WyvAndKeep !!

Thanks for reading!

Bye all!!

You don't need to keep posting in bold.

Oh, and Ill say it again, the text you're using for titles in the levels isn't too attractive. It looks like poorly resized pixel art.

How about this, is alternating text of both bold and non- more to your satisfaction?

Or perhaps all italics? Does this strike your fancy?

Maybe just go ahead and properly utilize the extreme?

Thanks for the input on the level text, I'll look into it! But I'm not sure if "I'll say it again" is accurate on any level.
