Anyone else acquired these games yet? I haven't played much so far, but gameplay wise its pretty pleasing, and the start of the game is slightly different to the others giving it a refreshing change for once.
However. Im really dissapointed with some of the graphics. Some being really nice, and well animated, others looking messy, and IMO pretty ugly. The battle interface seems really random and ugly, like something made in MS Paint.
I honestly don't know why they couldn't have made it like the main menu graphics, shiney and simplistic.
Thankfully Im informed downloadable skins/themes were made available in Japan, Im hoping this is true and will be available worldwide
The pixelization of the pokemon during battles is also something that bugs me, but I think its something Ill ignore once Im further into the game.
I considered picking it up, but then I figured I should save for the 3DS, since there will inevitably be an entry for it eventually.
*cough*AR please*cough*
I read somewhere that the producer dude said the pokemon were still 2D because it supposedly lets the artists' personalities shine through. I'm not sure I believe it. I think they're just lazy.
I like blocky pixelated graphics, so the pixel art/zooming sits fine with me.
HOWEVER. :@ Yes I completely agree that the interface design is absolutely horrendous. I didn't like the PokeGear design on HG/SS, but the item bag was fine. In B/W all the menu's looks awful. Really bad.
Also they put Pokeballs and general items into the same list. Why aren't they separate anymore? o__o Now it's confusing and messy.

How do you finish a pokemon game anyway? Beat the Elite 4 (or how many there is nowadays anyway)? Fill your Pokédex? Level six pokémon to 99?
Personally, I'd be more interested in a followup to the gameboy Pokémon TCG. Was fun to play without the expense of buying booster packs.
For me beating the elite 4 means the end of the game, unless you can travel to some previously unaccessible areas such as kanto in pokemon silver and gold.
