You shouldn't really try and do this. Bribing isn't really a decent thing around here

Yes but at least he's willing to accept if people dislike his game.
I like him already.
Show me the power child,
I'd like to say,
That I'm down on my knees today,
Gives me the butterflies,
Gives me away,
'Til I'm up on my feet again,
I'm feeling outshined.

wung chung thank-you for reviewing my game, as promised i will review yours, bit pushed for time at this moment (actually thats a lie im too buisy drinking beer) but will do it sometime over the weekend
as for bribing, maybe thats the case, but think of it this way if no one tells me my game sucks i will keep making sucky games, and surely that will piss people off a whole lot more.
Feed back is a important thing in making games - especially when your first starting out.
Personally im not bothered who downloads my game and what happens to it, what i am bothered about is going on to make bigger better games - thats why im seeking reviews, and i apreciate the fact that wung chung told me in a nice polite way that certain aspects of my game sucked hehe

I don't see it as bribery, rather a trade. And you're right - feedback is very valuable.
I wasn't really looking for you to review one of mine in return, but if you could then that would be very much appreciated.

I see it as a bribe. If someone gives you a good review, your more likely to give a good review in return. If someone gives your game a bad review, your more likely to just pick on the bad points in your review.
This happened a year or two ago, if anyone remembers, and we didnt like it back then either.

If simply writing a good review serves as a bribe, then how can anybody who still makes games justify running a Click site. Wouldn't the reader reviews, and even reviews by other editors who still actively develop games, be influenced as well? Nitpicking about it is just stupid. We all write reviews knowing full well that one day, one of the creators of a game we praised or bashed on will eventually get a chance to either repay the favor or get revenge. Whether it is a direct trade, or something that happens a year later is irrevelant.

Dang, I just noticed that my post is riddled with spelling and grammer errors -- I wish there was an edit button. Anyway, my point still stands.

I dont see it as a form of bribary, Shadow is right in the way of if someone gives hes game a bad review then hes likely to give them one, well that could happen in any case really. and it also depends on the person.

Yawn, this site i see esentially as a developers site, the boards are very useful, and some of the articles are great. To develop things you need honesty, if i go round telling everyone their games are good when they arent then they will keep producing more and more of the same pap!
I dont know what happend two years ago, i wasnt here so i dont know. If people are so petty that they go around and moan about someone elses game just because someone moaned about thei game then in my opinion they really shouldnt be on a site thats whole purpose is to make you a better developer.
I dont really think that there is anything wrong with this, what next???? no url link in your footer??? IF i really am annoying people message back then i will delete this post, i dont really care, i have the feedback i wanted.

I don't find you annoying in the least. A fair review is far more valuable than a high score as a bribe.
The two reviews I have so far are both pretty much invalid - one 10/10 and a 1/10, with pretty much no justifying comments in them.
It's true that it's more encouraging to give a high/low score in return, but as you said, if that happens then it's a problem with the people concerned, not the idea of a review-trade in itself.
