Ok, so we got a topic on Playstation 1 games... Everyone had a Playstation...
However before Sony released their Playstation, Sega released their own 32-bit console.
Now, I've never owned or even played on a Sega Saturn myself, but I wonder if anyone here owned one, or knew someone with one or perhaps still owning one. Also, what are the rest of us missing?

I knew some guy that had one once, he did tell me about how much better the Resident evil port was going to be.
I think the Saturn is a good source for obscure 2d japanese only releases. But it does have a few great exclusives.
Sega rally, Virtua fighter 2, Nights into dreams, Burning rangers, Die hard arcade, Panzer dragoon and Sonic R.
But those that didn't make it to Europe (not so sure about the US market).
Shining force 3, Radiant silvergun, Guardian heroes, Linkle Liver Story (a spiritual sequel to my favourite Megadrive game Soleil!). Also it had Castlevania Symphony of the Night if i recall.

Gex is great. Also, Rayman (if you don't have it for any other console for whatever reason, it's quite a polished version).
...I need to expand my own collection a bit. Didn't have one as a child either, but now I do.
Nights: Into Dreams was also released on PS2... but only in Japan! The idiots! I despised the Wii sequel. And no, never had a Saturn, but always wanted one, especially after getting a copy of Christmas Nights with a magazine and looking at a video of it.
I had one, I had tomb raider1 and virtua cop 1 and 2. It was awesome, I also had a copy of Panzer dragoon saga which was awesome!
It was a pretty bad machine in comparison to the others however the Dreamcast was one of best consoles ever made! Jet set radio is one of the best games ever made and i am dying for a new one

I think the main issue was that Saturn developers were forced to write a lot of things on their own that Sony already provided for PS1 developers in their libraries.

i didnt have a play station. i also didnt have a saturn but i think ive played more saturn than play station and it was kinda shit.
i remember this game where you were flying on a dragon. REMEMBER THAT GAME WHERE YOU WERE FLYING ON A DRAGON?
because i played that game where you were flying on a dragon.
also what i remember: all sega saturn games had very very very very terrible german translations where EVERYTHING was just wrong. it was terrible.
i bet virtua cop existed for sega saturn. ive played it for pc and dang it was an awesome game!
also you could play games ONLINE with it couldnt you?

The games I remember really enjoying were:
Rayman
Gex
Sonic R
Sonic 3D Blast
Tunnel B1
Grid Runner
Myst
Blast Chamber
Can't think of any more off the top of my head, but defiantly a hell of a platform - even if most of those games were available on the PS1.
oh GEX existed for it? seriously the first gex (THE 2d one) is just a very very awesome game. torrent it for pc once but they music wouldnt play which is a shame since the music is great, too.
I love my saturn but I am willing to take off the rose tinted glasses unlike some. There are some great games, and for the cost to get one nowadays, it's definitely worth it. But had I blown the $200-$400 they were asking in its heyday, I probably would have had some regrets. I'm also not super-into a lot of the genres that most saturn fans are in love with (2D fighters, rpgs, bullet hell shooters). But it does have some great games;
Panzer Dragoon
Panzer Dragoon Zwei
Nights
Sonic R
Sonic Jam (the 3D world was pretty cool)
Astal
Three Dirty Dwarves
Hang-On
Burning Rangers (not worth the hype but still cool)
Guardian Heroes
