Well I found a patch to use on worms armageddon so I can use that with XP. I'm saved!
Dan: Yeah, it's a shame since it was meant to be a strategy game and ninja rope kinda ruined it. You just drop over the person and lay dynamite on their head....not hard reallly lol.
duh the ninja rope pwns you!!!
but yeh i think in WWP it's the same, but that shopper games are awful, no fun at all. hey i've got Worms Armageddon, let's play one time.. if i can too bad DX9 fucked Worms 2, i've got some ppl to play with :/
I had wwp on computer for a long time, then I found it really cheap on PSone so I brought it and it is sooo bad. The graphics are sort of blury. I only have played it once
There is also going to be a proper sequel to Worms 2. I think it might be called Worms 3 . It's basically the same game but in 3D.

I bought WWP for $2 Aus, in malaysia. Not very good, it's the same engine as worms 2 and armegedon, i own all three and armegedon is the best. But the next title is worms 3d and i've seen screenies .
What? you dislike a rope race / shopper!!!!!! thats what everyone does. Get some skill with it or look for me (gizmostripe) i play with real schemes add me 2 msn or something and we can all organize an online PC tourny.
WWP rules. Mine was out of comission though for ages, just wouldn't work, which I put down to Windows XP. Turned out it was something in Nimo's codec pack, so when I uninstalled that, it worked fine.
The upcoming sequel is called Worms 3D. I wonder if they're going to pull of all of the Worms fun while putting in 3D. Since day one, I had my doubt about if it would be possible to pull off decently.
The only reason I bought WWP was for the WinXP support, but it doesn't hold up to W:A. The very few additions that WWP brought are rather forgettable and the single-player missions aren't as fun, neither. It seemed like they tryed experimenting here and try to do freaked out puzzles instead of actual missions. The random level designer even was buggy at times, it did created objects at times that didn't overlapped any ground at all and this just blocked off some places of the levels then.
As soon as I discovered that a WinXP patch had been made for W:A, WWP took the plunge to the recycle bin and I reinstalled W:A. Long live W:A!
Rope racing also was fun. Back when I played in Wormnet I did designed a few incredibly hard race levels that were uh... hard. Apart from myself, I don't think anyone ever completed them.
duh no i'll never accept the stupidness of shoppers :/
the normal game is awesome! heh i might install it again
and what's the link to the WA Winxp patch, i tried many times making it run in my dad's notebook, but it never worked, THE *ITCH
well if it happens that i install the game and am able to play it online, you will find a ruffles there, or something starting with ruff, like ruff_, etc
Ah, that famous song... does anyone remember 'Hogs of War'? That was like Worms in 3D, but... well, it wasn't. I don't know how they're going to pull it off, but I hope it's going to be for the best (like GTA2 to GTA3).
Anyone ever play Worms: Director's Cut which was only available on the Amiga? That was the first Worms, but it introduced a lot of the features in Worms 2, like weapons such as the Holy Hand Grenade and Super Sheep. I think that was the best version of Worms.
Yeah, I played it but never bought it. You could also get the Concrete Donkey... (based on a real concrete donkey, you know, in one of the programmer's homes)
Yeah, the guy who created Worms, he was called Andy Davidson. I remember reading that, about how the concrete donkey in his parent's garden was his inspiration for Worms. Someone damaged the donkey, took a chunk out of it's leg, giving him the idea of a destructable terrain where wars take place. Then the donkey ended up as a weapon in Worms DC. Did you know Worms started of with tanks, and it was called Artilliary?
Anyone ever play Scorched Tanks? That was very similar to Worms, but it was a two player game where you each had a tank and you had to destroy the other player using loadsa different weapons you could buy in the shop.
The version I'm thinking of was called Scorched Tanks, which was the Amiga one years ago. Scorched Earth is the remake for the PC, which I've never played so I don't know if it's good or not. There's also a 3D version, which I think I might download.
Scorched earth rocks!! The 3d version sucks thogh..
I have worms world party so I cant use the fiddler.
Anybody know where I can download a working version of worms armageddon so I can use the fiddler?
If you have Windows XP, don't even bother getting W:A just for the sake of using the Fiddler, because the Fiddler won't work on Win XP. W:A will run under WinXP though (you just need to download a patch on their site and you'll be all set)

i saw worms armageddon available on kazaa the other day, it was on the front page thing that loads up. i dont know if the stuff that goes up there is legal, but i think it might be as its controlled by sharman. they dont officially endorse illegality so i dont see why it shouldnt be ok.
WWP ruled. It's true that it's hard to find a normal game online these days, so that's why I host my own . Good old tournament class fight, lotsa fun with close combat. Only thing is... I couldn't really find any more decent opponents these days, game got boring.
Worms 3D... they once said they'd never do it. Guess they changed their minds. Damn Team uh.. whatever that number was, selling out to 3D like that.
