If you were told you had to make a new byte up, what would it be? It has to be over the Gigabyte (GB).
Put both the initials & the full name. Example Kilobyte (KB)
It would most likley be based around a technical term, and/or a mix of technical terms. Like 10baseT wire, the 10 stands for 10 Megabites persecond. Base for baseband. T for twisted pair. How GIG got made up, I dont know. But for making it up for the hell of it, I would say like... DECabyte.

I've seen Petabyte used in a file sharing program, where they have over a petabyte of shared files.
OK, this is sad. I don't mean dog has died sad, or Wilson bobs away in Castaway sad, I mean 'MY GOD people don't you have anything better to do' sad.
Jeez, I thought even nerds had limits. This is......
I do alot of nerdy things, but COME ON PEOPLE!
Show me the power child,
I'd like to say,
That I'm down on my knees today,
Gives me the butterflies,
Gives me away,
'Til I'm up on my feet again,
I'm feeling outshined.

Good point Ashman - I think this "misc board" is getting way to misc.
Ashman, this is just for fun dude, if you don't like it, then ignore, but there are people who don't mind taking a little free time & just post something "Funny".
IcantbelieveitsnotByte
because it isn't a real prefix and never will be. This thread is stupid. Why did I even read this? Answer: I didn't! Well, a few posts, but it generally sucked. I think 'thisthreadbytes' is suitable.
