php is easy-peasy to learn.

1) learn the basic syntax:
http://www.freewebmasterhelp.com/tutorials/php

2) learn the MySql functions:
http://www.freewebmasterhelp.com/tutorials/phpmysql

or www.klik-academy.com for a complete php course

3) use moosock to call pages with values to add stored in the URL, e.g. "mypage.php?kills=1". you'll need to encrypt those values somehow so that people can't edit them.

the klik academy course is flawed in quite a few places. i'd look for a tutorial on W3C schools or something
