Anyway...
I was just looking at the polls from last year and I found this one,
What is your favourite genre?

It looks like peoples favorite genre is rpg.
Then I go and look at how many RPG there actually are to download at DC. A mere 40 out of at least 1000 games that we as a community have made. And it happens that about 30 of them actually happen to be RPGs. And we can reduce the number even farther! There is less than 10 good rpg that would take more than 30min to beat, if we can stand playing it that long.
RPGs need a comeback! I say we make more RPGs! Let's make GOOD RPGs! Who's with me?

Polls arent always definitive, and that particular poll is pretty outdated. I for one dont care much for playing RPGs, but I would enjoy making one. I really like doing graphics, and Ive never worked on an RPG style game. But I am already committed to too many other games.

Im trying VERY hard to make an rpg but i just get stuck/bored too often for it to get of the ground.
now if someone could make an inventory system similar to the final fantasy games i would be the happiest clicker in the world.
mabye i should ask in the code-it forum, but if i did i would only get two replies telling me to look for a tutorial elsewhere.

AndyUK, I actully can make inventory screens like the ff games. However, I'm leaving tomorrow for a couple of weeks, so I'll make you a good one when I get back.

I am working on an RPG! ! Planning on paper can be a grand thing. It will look like an early-NES style of game and will be quite simple, but it should be pretty good
