Hi there,
i'm having trouble with a stupid person on my forums (www.shibatiforum.tk). we have tried to block her ip, but it claims that 13 other people have the same ip, including me!
the ip is
8x.x.6x.x
i have replaced some numbers with x's so you don;t know my ip
maybe this is the NTL broadband ip?

You might be using one and the same ISP who give dynamic IP adresses, so one IP used to belong to all of you.
I need painters, musicians and animators!

most ISPs give you a dynamic IP, espescially for dial up. it's not possible to do an IP block if this is the case.

I know some sites that block mac addresses which is 100% effective.A mac address is the address permanently burned into your network card.

You'll just have to ban the username, and keep doing it till she gets sick of re-registering. It takes far less time to ban someone than it does to sign up.

Zim: But that doesnt even work all the time, cos you get some dodgy companies in taiwan or something mass-producing network cards with the same MAC address to save money.

The MAC address isn't burned in either, because my router can clone a MAC address for compatibility.
