Life Outside K&P
News posted 5th February, 2003 by ShadowCaster
Sooner or later everyone here will leave school and go out into the work force. It just so happens that Kevin Smets (creator of Future Fantisy, Klik & Play Tonight and Klik Universe) is part of one of the most sought-after industries there is: the entertainment industry.

Recently Keven was part of a production which won first place at no less than 7 film festivals, not to mention a student Emmy. If you want to check out the trailer for his movie, you can download it here (I hope Kevin doesn't mind ;) Just keep in mind that the trailer is EXTREMELY low quality, so it's hard to see what's going on in some places, but you get the idea. Make sure you applaude when Kevin comes on :)

Really bad idea to rip music from Phantasmagoria!!! That's like making a beautiful, original klik game with music from Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger.

;P

That music wasnt made for Phantasmagoria o_O That music was around long before then.

(and it's not like they have the amount of money to purchase the license to a music soundtrack ;) I dont mind you saying that, as long as you now make the same comment for every single game on DC that doesnt use original music ;)

I KNOW THAT Where IS the music from?? I hate it when I cannot remember such things.

Okay. The music is called " The trailer does not have original music, obviously. But that's because the film wasn't finished at the time the trailer was cut. Once the film was finished, we had a very talented individual named Andy Neil compose and record an entirely original score. Most film festivals will not accept entrys that do not have original music... for copyright reasons obviously.

Sorry... the music is called "Carmina Burana" from Carl Orff. MANY movies use this trailer, thats why you recognize it. And Shadow, it's cool to post it. Thanks for the nice comments. :)

lol, all you people and your "music" talk! Music is for the weak, nobody cares about music!

Or student films for that matter! And especially music in student films!

What? This is coming from Sam Dillard? The guy who scored our Syndicate film? (Check should be in the mail, by the way, as soon as I finally get in contact with Joey!)

If you think that music was ripped from Phantasmagoria that must of been the only game you everplayed. Although it is a sweet and scary game.

That's a filmfest film?!! Where'd you get such a budget? Also, I don't see why you're flaming Carmina Burana... It's the best choral music I've ever heard. I'm into making movies myself. Do filmfests accept entries with classical music from CDs? (The music isn't copyrighted, but the recording is.)

Not bad, how can I see the full thing? DC mail me, I'll probably forget to look at these comments.
