As said in the forums, Circy wanted presents for his 20th birthday. And as known, he's obsessed with platform games. So our mission was: Make me a platformer with 5 levels minimum and a custom platform engine! 4 of us succeded. And here are his results, and all, with some circism:
4th Place: Fire And His Kidnapped Brother, by Fire
Graphically it was colourful...but the gameplay and general presentation was...shocking.
3th Place: Ball Bloke 2, by Chris Branch
Ball Bloke somehow manages to be even graphically worse than the above effort...but theres a difference! Chris Branches game manages to be pretty fun, and the engine is relatively well done.
2nd Place: Flin The Pie Detective, by Aku
You've basically got some wonderful graphics and a very competant engine. The levels are graphically brilliant, as they are set around the beach. The only gripes I see are that the engine is flawed in the sense that the player lands at random heights and its really hard to kill bad guys.
1st Place: Mr 81, by Seji
A fabulously retro platformer which lacks the graphics, but engine-wise is very well done. You can climb up walls and everything! This is a great peice of work overall, I cant find anything particularly bad about it.
Well done us! XD
