OK, after having an idiot (DaveC) constantly complain over the last few days to me on MSN, after being deleted over an incident in the forums, I think it's time that I said it publically:

Abuse towards other members on DC will not be tolerated.

If you feel you are being abused, SAVE A COPY of the post (File → Save As) and email it to me. Do not under any circumstances retaliate, as then we will not only take action against the person that started it, but we will also have to take action against you, otherwise we'll be accused of having double standards.

If you dont agree with someone, you can say so, that's fine. But instead of saying "OMFG F*** YOU, RETARD" try and be polite. If you cant think of anything intelligent to say, then dont say anything at all. Flaming only makes you look like an idiot who cant think of anything intelligent to say back.

Admins will also be required to save a copy of any thread before they delete it, but that doesnt mean you shouldnt save a copy yourself. I've had someone accuse me of changing a log to suit my own agenda more than once, so if two copies are saved by different people, then you cant say it's been changed post deletion.

Finally, if you want to contest something that has been done by an admin, you can contact me. HOWEVER you need to make sure you tell the the whole truth. Again I refer to DaveC who told me that he was deleted because he sent in a crap game. He forgot to mention everything that went on in the forums, despite me saying to him "so it was only the game, nothing went on in the forums, for example?" Once that happens you get no help from me; how can I trust you, once you have already lied?

I would like to apologise to all the decent members who have had to endure the flaming and abuse that has gone on recently. The admins and I will definately be trying our best to stop this from happening again. Be sure to read everything that I have mentioned above, and should you be abused on DC take my advice by saving a copy of everything that happens as proof of what has occurred. Do not retaliate, the admins and I will take action themselves.

Theory doesn't really work when you're surrounding my bullies being kicked in the stomach and struggling to breath. But no you won't fight back, you'll wait and get a teacher so they can beat the bullies with their detention slip! ... what was my point again? I forget these things sometimes.

You start out insulting a TDC member "an idiot (DaveC) constantly complain" but then contest that verbal asbue and name calling is wrong? This whole news post is a bit hypocritical and childish if you ask me. If you wanted to lay down some rules fine but don't be bitter for having to do so. Sorry that you get complaints about TDC but you took on the job of head admin and everything that comes with the job. You may be able to ignore the GOTW and the forum badgering but as soon as someone disturbs your casual internet browsing you get all upset.

Chicken14528: First off I won't resort to name calling, I'm above that. I forced myself to read through this entire post and felt dumber as a result. This five or six paragraph news post could have been cut down to a quick "here's a reminder of the rules and some request for abuse documentation" post but instead ShadowCaster feels in necissary to drag on with this little arguement he's been in with a DC member and how it's cause him some problems. The front page really shouldn't be the place for an admin to vent his or her frustrations over community issues. Admins talk about wanting TDC to be a professional family site and then turn around and act even more childish on the front page!

Like I said in my post, if you would like to read it in its entirety: I dont care if you argue with someone, just dont abuse them. I dont feel that me mentioning DaveC's case was abusing him, and I think most people would agree.

Oh, and this isnt a school yard, you're not being physically harmed. You dont need to defend yourself in order to survive, ashman. Just leave it alone and let one of the admins handle it.

Generally, the ones who spend a lot of time and expenses to keep this site running should be the ones to decide about the rules and who gets banned. If you want true justice and honesty, call Captain Planet or something. If you just want a good community for Clickers, just stay and have a good time. But complaining about admins and rules makes you look sooooo....... so! :P Respect for ShadowCaster! You look allright to me.

It looks like this has happened: Dave_c, Ashman, and others have taken the site for granted and abused it. Then they got punished and are bitter about it. Anyone can see you guys are just ITCHING for some authority to attack.

Instead, we have a bunch of dumbasses running around here. There's ashman, who posts rude sexual jokes all over the place. there's flaw, who does nothing but bitch. There's rhys davies, who has an anger problem and has never posted a nice comment on the boards. And if you miss dave c, you have sever issues, as all he did was insult people and keep saying dawg. I'm getting sick of this community. About time you had zero tolerence, shadow.
