Ok, a few little things thats been winding me up recently. Adding links. I've seen a link to a t-shirt site, a link to a laddish football-esque site, and general irrelevance. Please make sure that if you submit a link, its a link either to your personal site, your group, or something else klik related. Also, it seems that many of you think that rules are meant to be broken. I've seen a drastic increase in insults, swearing, and general obnoxiousness, and its got to stop. And finally, a few submissions have been including tiny descriptions: Case in point - the recent Sonic DIY Level Collection in the previews section. THREE LINES and a garble of attempted keystrokes to form an image. Why? What is the point? Is it really that hard to write a decent preview/review/whatever? We'll be cracking down on this seemingly ignorant behaviour by some of you, and urge you to consider, before posting "will it offend anyone" and "is it relevant"? Basically, think before you act, and maybe you won't be making yourselves look stupid. Just think. Tweet

You make a lot of good points, Circy. I'll have to say, there is a lot of swearing. But hasn't there always been swearing on this site? :/ Although there has been a major increase.

Echisketch: The creator In the normal world, there is a law against crime. And EVERYONE knows you shouldn't commit any. Yet you still get jerks thinking they can do what they want. If they can get away with it, then they think they're ok. But the ones who are caught are punished, fined, put in prison, executed, whatever. TDC is the same sort of thing. You should know that you should only put certain web addresses in, but you just ignore the rules and put whatever you want in. Hell we've even had links to Hotmail. And we're going to get stricter on this, Derek.

Woot. Go Circy. Layin' the smackdown on the morons! I think previews/downloads should have a character minimum much like reviews do (and maybe require a screenshot). That might solve a lot of these problems.

I think if you haven't released any games you should HAVE to put screenies in the previews, that'd also solve the problems of newbies thinking of making a game when they are still pondering if they should upgrade from KnP to TGF XD.

I think you should HAVE to include screenies in a preview regardless! I mean, it's easy to ramble on about some idea you have had or whatever, and easy to get carried away with your new creation and want to tell the world about it. But if there is nothing solid (that you can show) then surely the forum is the place to ramble about it? As far as behaviour here goes, it’s always likely to be a bit rowdy. Male dominated community, plenty of conflicting age groups and talent levels. As far as I’m concerned, it's a given that you'll find swearing and the like in a community like this. It certainly doesn't bother me.

shab, i dont think you understood the actual point of my comment, a newb thinking of making games when they aren't really doing anything, yet they post information(usually extremely vague amounts.) about an imaginary game.

When someone signs up display the guidelines in a scrollable box (just like the add comment box) and after he clicks "I agree" he gets a few questions about them to make sure he actually READ them XD
