GOTW #144 - Spiderhead

It was fairly obvious which game would win the GOTW award this week; congratulations to Blackgaze for his cool shooter Spiderhead. Blackgaze should be very pleased with himself, especially when you consider his game totally decimated the rest of the poll, gathering more than triple the total number of votes as the other three games. Click here to download the GOTW This weeks entrants - Super Mario: Blue Twilight DX, Retro Invaders, and Browser (Special Edition). Yes, you see right, there's a Nuklear game in the GOTW! I personally think Browser is, although a bit crude, fairly fun to play and it deserves a chance to win next weeks GOTW. Good luck to all three entrants. By the way, we do know if you vote for your own game. Any people who do this will get their game disqualified from GOTW.

If the vote is open to allow you to vote for your own game atleast once, then you should be allowed. If your not allowed then how about trying to make it so that you actually cant unless you make a new name. If thats the case, then yes, you deserve to be disqualified. Its not like its being voted for president, unless club or rikus is planning on making it so you cant vote for your game on GOTW, its a wild card & we should be allowed to, as long as its only once.

I'm fairly sure that Circy meant voting repeatedly for your game using multiple accounts is disallowed, but it wasn't clear.

Well he made it sound like even voting with your account is disallowed. PS: nuklear, its my new logo, I decided the old grid ball with lightning going around was getting old so I made a new one, this time in 3D Studio Max 7.

Phizzy, that stoned smiley face with the blazed eyes. @Andy - As I remeber it was kinda badly drawn, but it was probably better than anything I could accomplish while trying to draw a human head. Anyone remeber my horrible attempt at drawing Rei from eva a few years back; god that sucked. I wasn't aware I could fit that much suck into such a small image.

Is it allowed to trick people into doing stuff, like give a link to something that will make them vote for you game and stuff. I can't do it beacuse I already voted but It would be funny.

Ryan - "There's still more than enough time for me to lose" *looks at votes so far* Yeah, right =P. There's more chance of me winning the lottery. Game, set and match and it's only Monday. (If I do actually win the lottery, I'll let you know) I wouldn't bother apologising - it's not your fault that some people get all cranky over fangames because, apparently, if you don't do the graphics yourself you haven't actually done anything (...the event editor doesn't 'write' itself, ya know =P).

If Luckett would give me permission, I'd totally upload that Waffle X Alpha I did. That's got plenty of original graphics (some drawn by him, some drawn by me). Unfortunately he is ignoring me (not that I don't deserve it, but I digress).

Nintendo hates fan games, more than any other company I can think of... and while techincally not a fan game, I don't see id software going after Doom for iPod... and if nuklear were to win, I think I would have to hack this website just so he didn't win, give him a negative amount of votes or something >_>
