I'm happy to announce that two klik games, Fret Nice and Noitu Love 2: Devolution have made it through to the finalists of the 10th Annual Independent Game Festival Awards, a prestigious gaming event to encourage innovation in game development and to recognize the best independent game developers. Noitu Love 2: Devolution is up for the Seumas McNally Grand Prize whilst Fret Nice is up for two awards, Design in Innovation and Excellence in Audio. Seeing as Sony and Microsoft are sponsoring this we could be seeing a huge step towards bringing klik games on the home console and also give much recognition to the designers too.
Regardless of the fact that Noitu Love 2 is still in the works, it's no lie that this video is a huge indicator that it's worthy of the prize already.
The ceremony will be held on the 20th February 2008, so we wish the best of luck to both ZeroTau and Mårten in taking home the prize.

And on a further note, the 2008 IGF Student Competition will also announce their finalists and among some of the potentials is James Whitehead's much anticipated platformer, Tormishire and previous GOTW winner, Zenek Zombie by McO. Keep checking back as they're scheduled to be announced very soon but in the meantime good luck to James, McO and to anyone else who is involved!
