First off we have a new donation from Scirra the construct folks! -WOW- Lets give them a big thanks! Game wise we have a new game called Desktop Rpg created by bladeboy for you all today

Comments from Bladeboy: Desktop RPG is a very basic role playing game in the same genre as miracle warriors for the sms. It takes place in a world overrun by monsters sent be an demonlord known as the Black Emperor. You play an young hero from the land of Galia who sets out to defeat all evil.

wow, childish. scirra shows a kind gesture (whether it be to boost their image or not) to us at tdc and you act like that? we get it. you don't like them. but its annoying.

Isn't that obvious it's to bribe the admins and users to switch to tool and make TDC less Click specific?
I was only replying because of Alspal's use of the word "We". I don't like them, speak for yourself.

It just goes to show that the Scirra team in fact is not a league of extraordinary evuls but klikkers at heart who decided to move on and create their own dream-app. And were it not for some of them, the klik-scene would be a far more primitive place, coding-wise. So thanks a bunch!

Thanks Scirra! I have a feeling they donated because it keeps the community going, whether clicker or constructer. Kind of like friendly competition. That, and alot of times TDCers go over to them. O_o

PR move? Bribe the users?? When someone say they're going to make a new big game Ashley RECOMENDS them to use mmf2 since construct isn't stable yet. And construct is free, so they don't really need any more users!



It makes me sad to see this kind of pointless hate. They gave tdc money to support them, and the reaction is that they're an evil corperation trying to take over the community. (of course not all of you react that way, but some of you do.)

According to the Wikipedia definition of klik, "Klik or Click is a term used to describe a graphical method or point and click method to develop software." So as far as I know, Construct should fit in just fine in the Click community...

Wikipedia is wrong. Klik is a reference to Klik and Play and Clickteam, therefore it's a "term used to describe a graphical method or point and click method to develop software by Clickteam's software products."

Not like I don't know that. I just remember reading that on Wikipedia, so I checked. In every other place, the article only references Clickteam. Just felt like referencing Clickteam.

To be honest, it doesn't matter which program you use, half the people here are lacking what is required to make a nice game anyway.



All this crap about construct being "more powerful"... Please, try and make a game like Project Rollercoaster, Tormishire or Noitu love2 in MMF2 before getting on your high horses about power being important.

I find allegations of bribery pretty funny - I've been lurking around TDC longer than most, having originally signed up over 6 years ago in 2002. I could always stop giving money to TDC if you think it's such a problem

Well in this case the Irony would be the fact Scirra are seen as a competitor to Clickteam, yet they have donated to The daily click which is the biggest Click community site.
I guess that would be like Nintendo giving Microsoft loads of money.
