Dont you hate in when Multimedia Fusion decides to just go crazy when you least expect it?
I'm almost a year in Bonesaw development, and everything has been going great-- until I decided to install that HWA beta for MMF2 that would "not affect the normal installation of MMF2." Well, I call shinanigans on that.
After installing the HWA version and messing around with 15,000 actives and what not, I decided to get back to work on Bonesaw. I closed the HWA MMF2, opened up the old (r246) MMF2 and playtest some more of the latest level. Well, I came to find out that since installing HWA, some bizarro black magic happened to one of the levels.
I can't explain it really. It's like MMF2 is replacing sprites with other sprites found in the frame. Its totally unpredictable and bizarre, but only happening on certain frames under certain circumstances. For instance, running the entire application results in the graphic glitches, but running just the frames is fine. If anyone has any insight at all as to why this is happening and how I can fix it, they would become my hero for the next year (give or take a few months.)
The main content for the game is done, and I just have a few more levels to make and some things to finish off like the credits and what not, and everything should be wrapped up-- that's all assuming that this graphics bug doesnt become any worse. I'm hoping that it doesnt, but I really have no clue!
Well, until next time.
