Well, I tried to procedurally generate weapons.. so that if you picked up a random item like a chair, or even broke one in half, the weapon will still be calculated.
The problem there is that it's too unbalanced and abusable. Not exactly accurate either. I think it's easier for me to set down damage into a table and then try to set it into a graph or something and create the formula from there. But I'll need to run the game for a year or so, until the weapon stats are confirmed. So.. no procedural weapon stats, at least not any time soon.
I will miss the procedural system though.. could calculate the damage for an axe if you add another head, or if the head fell off. It was still too abusable, though
Anyway, progress in the game has been very slow, but there. I'm bored of game design.. wish I had an assistant to do all the more boring stuff. But expect the first features list to be out by the weekend.. hopefully.
