Working on Backrounds

I just recently got in touch with an amazing artist, DoubleDragonNinja, and after a little conversation we decided we should work with each other on this project... and I am not one bit disappointed.

He has created beautiful backdrops which blend nicely with the pixel sprites of the main ship and enemies.

Thanks to him we will have the demo out sooner than expected!

Here is a new screen shot to look at. As always constructive criticism is always welcome!

This seems to be coming along nicely. I really like the art direction you've taken. Can't wait to see the demo. We need more shmups here.

Great looking game, but whats the "swift" bar for? Also I think you need some alpha blending on the edges of the foreground elements they don't blend into the background well at the moment.
